Brennan Sanders serves as the Vice President of Development for Alpine Start Development. Brennan collaborates closely with ASD’s partners in the public and private sectors to identify and implement both tested and proven, as well as innovative and creative strategies to meet the growing need for affordable and workforce housing development.

His experience successfully overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations within all phases of subsidized and private-financed multifamily development projects across various Texas markets, including both acquisition-rehab and new construction, enables him to bring forth practical solutions to meet the housing goals of the cities within which ASD develops.

Previously, Brennan held the position of Vice President of Affordable Housing Development with New York City-based investment firm Olive Tree Holdings where he oversaw the long-term preservation of over 1,100 affordable housing units through utilization of various sources of subsidy and financing, including the 4% low-income housing tax credit, private activity bonds, HUD-insured financing, public-private partnership, and private equity, totaling over $180M in capitalization.

Brennan additionally served in multiple roles within the Gardner Capital organization where he managed the development of the firm’s new construction affordable housing communities throughout the Houston and DFW Metros.

Brennan entered the affordable housing space with Dominium Development and Acquisition upon graduating with a Master of Land and Property Development degree from Texas A&M University. A native of southern Louisiana, Brennan additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University.
