Zach Gensior

Zach is an experienced real estate professional with demonstrated success in development management and institutional capital formation. Zach is a co-founding partner of Alpine Start Development and oversees business development, acquisition underwriting, due diligence, capitalization structuring, and all phases of the pre-construction and entitlement process.

Zach previously served as the Vice President of Investments at Cypress Equity Investments (CEI), a nationwide ground-up multifamily development firm. During his tenure at CEI, Zach led all capital markets activities and was responsible for the financing and closing of ground-up projects exceeding $1.2 billion in capitalization. Additionally, he supported the development management of more than 2,500 multifamily units. Zach’s notable transactions and accomplishments include: (i) managing the portfolio underwriting and recapitalization of a real estate operating company and associated fund positions; (ii) launching an on-line crowdfunding platform for both new development investments and mid-construction equity recapitalizations; and (iii) development coordination of multifamily projects including Type V garden-style, Type III mid-rise/podium, and Type I high-rise construction.

Zach began his real estate career at BlueGate Partners, a real estate investment banking firm in New York City. He graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Zach was born and raised in New York and has recently relocated to Dallas. Zach is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys ski mountaineering, backcountry camping, tennis, jazz music, and international travel.
